Loved it! I enjoyed the stories so much that I kept finding more time to read the next one, then the next one... I have always been a fan of dystopian fiction. But in 2020 as real life started feeling more and more chaotic and uncertain, I stopped reading and watching dystopian stories. I felt like I couldn’t afford to add to my mental load with even a fictional world-gone-wrong. But I found an element of hope in these stories that I wasn’t expecting. It made the stories that much more enjoyable.

The story-telling is vivid, with details that piqued my curiosity and drew me in. The characters are well-drawn and relatable. I found the story “Elvis Landing” to be particularly moving. “The Monster,” “Frontier Hero,” and “Hologram Bride” were also among my favorites. I heartily recommend this book of short stories by author Jackie Gamber.
